IMPORTANT - THIS NOTICE AFFECTS ALL EXISTING LICENSES AND NEW ORDERS FROM 1ST SEPTEMBER 2019 ONWARDS.
cPanel announced a new pricing structure last month which moves from a fixed price per server to charging based on the number of accounts on the server. This new structure affects all existing licenses and comes into effect from 1st September 2019.
Per account licensing and license types
For clarity, the definition of an account is an account listed in cPanel & WHM, not a domain name. Suspended accounts count towards the account limit.
cPanel have also changed their license type names, VPS is now Cloud and Dedicated is now Metal.
New pricing for our customers
cPanel licenses will be offered under the following base packages.
Package Name | Account Limit | License Type | Monthly Price |
---|---|---|---|
Admin | 5 | Cloud Only | $19.95 |
Pro | 30 | Cloud Only | $29.95 |
Premier 100 | 100 | Cloud & Metal | $44.95 |
For servers requiring more than 100 accounts, packages will be set up offering fixed accounts in the following quantities and prices:
Package Name | Account Limit | License Type | Monthly Price |
---|---|---|---|
Premier 125 | 125 | Cloud & Metal | $49.95 |
Premier 150 | 150 | Cloud & Metal | $54.95 |
Premier 175 | 175 | Cloud & Metal | $59.95 |
Premier 200 | 200 | Cloud & Metal | $64.95 |
Premier 225 | 225 | Cloud & Metal | $69.95 |
Premier 250 | 250 | Cloud & Metal | $74.95 |
Premier 300 | 300 | Cloud & Metal | $84.95 |
*Every multiple of 50 accounts thereafter is an extra $10.00 a month.
We will look to make it as easy as possible to upgrade/downgrade between these packages should the number of accounts on your server change.
All existing licenses will be automatically converted in advance of your next billing date on or after 1st September to the new pricing based on the type (Cloud/Metal) and how many accounts there are on the server.
Unfortunately, annual licenses are no longer available.
Subject to change
We are still in discussion with cPanel over the changes as we were only made aware of them on the day they announced it publicly, and there still appears to be some confusion on how the changes are taking place. The new packages are not available yet and the rollout is dependent on a number of factors. We wanted to inform our customers about these planned changes as soon as possible to give them time to understand and plan ahead. Should anything change, we will update the announcement as soon as we can.
